What is there to say about Mario Lemieux? You already know his hockey accomplishments – Hall of Famer, three-time NHL MVP, Olympic Gold Medalist, and the first person in history to win the Stanley Cup as both a player and owner. His next accomplishment? Beard grower. Mario has officially joined the Pittsburgh Penguins Beard-A-Thon team this season as he continues to support his charity, the Mario Lemieux Foundation, and the Penguins playoff run. You can pledge Mario's playoff beard today – all the proceeds benefit the MLF's cancer research projects and Austin's Playroom project!

Over 1,700 Penguins fans grew beards during the 2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs, raising over $113,000 for the Mario Lemieux Foundation. The Penguins want fans everywhere to put down the razor and grow one for the team this year! Your beard-growing efforts will support a great cause and give the top fundraisers a chance to win incredible prizes!

This year's prizes include a Consol Energy Center Tour and:
