- What if I can’t grow a beard?
- We understand that some people are “follicly” challenged and cannot grow a beard. However, we don’t want you to feel left out. We welcome you to pledge a beard-growing friend or use our build-a-beard application to grow your own virtual beard. Simply upload your photo to get a beard without the itch.
- Where do I see my donations or how much I have raised?
- Log in to the site with your username and password. Once logged in, you can click on the profile button next to your picture (top right, under main menu). On your profile page, you’ll see the total funds raised to date, as well as a list of people who made donations on your behalf.
- How can I update my picture or status?
- Log in to the site with your username and password. Then click on the profile button next to your picture (on top right). On your profile page, you can edit your status, change your profile pictures, and share your updates on Facebook.
- Is this tax deductible and will I get a receipt?
- Yes. This is 100% tax deductible. Your donation will go to the charity chosen by the team. When you make a successful donation, a receipt will be emailed to you, including the amount, day, and name of charity receiving the funds. Please note, the receipt will be emailed to the email that was used to make the donation.
- I made a donation, but I don’t see it on my friend’s profile page.
- When you make a donation, you have the option of keeping your donation anonymous (only the beard grower will see it) or public (everyone can see it if they click on that beard growers page). If you don’t see it on your friend’s profile page, it’s because the anonymous box was checked off when you made the donation. However, your friend will be able to see your donation, and their donation total reflects it.
